As I mentioned in a separate thread, I appear to have taken some rock hits, including one on the kidney grill. It seems to be cleaning up okay, but I can see where a rock hit the louvers behind the grill.

I gather those open when the engine comes to temperature? Is there a way to open them for inspection, to make sure nothing inside was damaged? Preferably without the car running?
