I've watched the race a few times and I still agree that Max was impatient. The RB was easily able to keep up with the tRacing Point and it was only a matter of time before Max would have him in back in his sights. This entire race weekend was pretty shattering for Matt. He was broken after qualifying and his impulsivity was evident in the race.

Max would’ve prob made the pass once DRS was allowed. Look at how Lewis struggled to pass Seb without DRS but breezed pass Perez with DRS.

So just as you say. Patience. Probably panicked the Lance was so far out in front and wanted to close the gap.

If after 116 races he hasn't learnt it....can't see how another 116 will make any difference.
I suspect he is destined to be one of the many drivers who almost made into the F1 champions hall of fame.

Even my instructor would tell me to let the race come to me at events and I'm not going to lie, it's hard. But when you have a faster car, you only have to wait for mistakes or where your car is faster in certain parts of the track. This is what Max should have done.

Yes. This is why I updated my signature to cast a harsh light on the comparison. These are not mistakes he should be making at this juncture in his career.

My friend , it wouldn't make any difference . As we know RB screwed it later up in the pits anyway by the downforce adjustment of his front wing .
Front wing was adjusted "7 degrees off" by mistake ...
By this the balance and aero of the RB16 worked like dozer . The wear of his front tires was insane ...
By the spin behind Perez he had to pit again , because by the 360 spin he got huge flat spots . MAX was 3 times in the pit and lost a sea of time .
It's incredible he made it to the finish...

Note : This was also confirmed by Horner and Marko !

If you think about it my friend if one RB wing adjuster did the correct turns in the right direction and the other one turned the wrong way then it's amazing Max kept it on the track let alone race with roughly 14 deg difference neg as a whole

That's actually pretty simple my friend . Because we MAX fans are sure that Nico is better than Perez .
We can not wait to get finally a better teammate for MAX , Nico has also more knowledge regarding the feedback of the car
That would really help as for the further development of he RB16.

Who will remain the first driver of the team ? The driver has to show that on the track .
MAX said more than once I don't care who my teammate is , or will be . I just drive my race like usual to get the best possible performance out of my car .
MAX actually didn't had a teammate in the last 3 seasons , didn't saw he had any support from his teammates .
And that really s@cks for RB's race strategy . All we saw was that MAX 'IS' the RB team ...


Nico speaks German and Dutch , because his mom is Dutch . But that doesn't matter as MAX said ,I'll speak on the track !
