Ultimate F1 Dream Teams 2022....

With a sea change of FIA F1 Sporting Regulations in 2022, think about this....

-What are the likely top three constructors??

-What are your dream team drivers for the top three teams??

Driver contracts in today's currency may or may not be valid in 2022....contracts are made to be broken, so think outside of contractual commitments:

I'll start....

Constructors:
1. MB
2. McLaren
3. Ferrari

Drivers:
1. HAM / RUS (MB)
2. RIC / OCO (McLaren)
3. LEC / ALO (Ferrari)

Have fun!

Merc' (Lewis and Rus)

McLaren (Lando and Ric which ll happen already i have big hopes on next years McLaren for some time)

Racing Point or Ferrari.. not sure but Racing Point is pretty efficient but Ferrari is Ferrari if you dont think about the inner politics etc.. (Leclerc and Perez)

Your comment about Racing Point is on-point....they are finding their way to the sharp end of the grid quite often.

PER to Ferrari is very interesting - didn't PER get very close to a Ferrari contract some years ago?

Well, if we can do what we want....

My top three constructors would be:

Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull.

At Ferrari, I'd like to see LeClerc and Russell.
At Mercedes I'd like to see Hamilton and Perez.
And at Red Bull I'd like to see Max and Alonso. Just to see the feathers fly.

But with respect to the constructors, we really have no clue how well the teams are interpreting the rules, and any of the other teams (well, except Hass) could produce a competitive-dominant car.

as far as i remember same year Perez went to McLaren, Ferrari was talking with him as well but he went to McLaren.. he can be Ferrari's reserve driver next year though..

Alonso will be a better Alonso from the last time he was racing in F1 in your opinion?

PER chose McLaren over Ferrari....this may not sit well with Ferrari "welcoming" PER looking forward....your thoughts?

Love the VER and ALO pairing....there is always great debate regarding pairing two number one drivers on the same team (Prost/Senna)....but I say tell them they are adults and they need to work it out....let the fastest driver determine the position in the team.

I think you are asking me if I think Alonso will be better this time around....

I'm certain he has given up some speed. It's natural as you get older, your vision degrades and your reflexes slow down a little and thus your speed goes.

I do believe he will still be able to get a lot out of the car. Whatever car he is in.

As far as attitude, who knows. I'd like to think he's gotten better, but I won't hold out any hopes. But I do think the attitude/arrogance that some of these guys have comes with the territory. Not all of them. One of my fondest memories was of Brian Redman and how at the end of the day he'd come over and talk with me about how my day went and if there was anything I needed and thank me for my contribution. But I digress.....

As fast as Alonso is/was I think his biggest asset is communicating what the car is doing to the team and what can be done to make it faster.

You're so cute.

Two drivers that want to win are never gonna let the other guy by. How many times have you seen teammates follow one another around for laps while the guy in front gets away or the guy behind catches the two of them. Or even worse, take each out of the race.

Does the term Multi 21 mean anything to you?

This is why Bottas is the ultimate number two. He is willing to do whatever he is asked. Same with Massa a while back.

This thread is to think outside norms and protocol....allowing two #1 drivers on the same team is allowed

If you took my comment as anything other than friendly, I owe you an apology.

A great exchange of ideas and thoughts is occurring....no need for an apology and thank you for your civility....an uncommon attribute in today's currency.

I had to look up Multi 21....I was aware of the incident but not the name of the incident - thank you!

Without question, F1 history proves that two #1 pilots = disaster.
