There are dozens of very high quality, non partisan videos from folks that test say.....20 products applied to a car hood and then subjected to harsh chemicals, heat, intense sun over time. I chose CQuartz UK 3.0 and glad I did. Easy to apply, cheap, tough as nails. I accidentally smeared some on a back window. Had to polish it to get it off.

I’m interested to hear what you find out.

No problem. Gotta wait to actually have my car though so they can look at it and I can get a better idea. Gonna ask if they can pain my calipers to while they have the wheels off.

It could be as simple as buying some high temp paint at an automotive store, cleaning, taping off and painting them. The other way to skin this cat is to see if you can cross reference the calipers to another higher volume BMW and see if they make covers for that model.

Yeah I just figure that if they’re gonna have my wheels off already… maybe they can do it and he’ll I’ll even get the pain. I think you provided a product recommendation iirc.

Agreed. Cquaurtz did well, but it wasn't the best of the ones tested.

At 3:30 it's still beading. Considering the very tough environment of Tyler Texas that's pretty damn good for 2.5 years of harsh treatment. With the AutoPedia discounts for my order it cost about $60 shipped which included a bottle of "Reload", another treatment that's hand applied.

AT 7:15, "Cquartz 3.0 UK has always impressed in my many tests".

Almost forgot, add a 6 pack of Lone Star beer and the total was $6.60.

Gets higher longevity marks than Adam's Paint Coating. Adam's has a very unique visual cue built in to make sure you didn't miss a spot, which shouldn't be an issue in the first place.

I’m gonna be getting Ceramic Pro treatment with 9H and it seemed to do pretty good according to that video as well. Of course I’d be curious as to the level of effort he put into the coating. I’ll be getting a triple treatment with an over coating. Hopefully it’lllast a little longer and the warranty includes additional coats as necessary. Need to find that out when I go talk to them later in July.

You can't go wrong with Ceramic Pro 9H.

I'm buying a leaf blower to dry my car. The water beads off like crazy.

Outstanding. Likely won’t be able to get it done for one to two weeks after delivery of the car though. Busy busy!!!

My Ryobi electric blower works great, so does a quick drive down our highway frontage after blasting them with rainwater from a pump that sits in my greenhouse. I graft and produce high quality tropical fruits - avocado, annona, dragon fruit, citrus, mangos, etc.

Ghetto tables shield the maters from high south winds.

Thanks for the explanation, I thought the tables put on a bender.

Try not to drive it too much ( easier said than done) and get it done ASAP.

That’s the plan. Schedules are still kinda wonky so it’s hard to get there during business hours during week. They also need the car for minimum of three days so we need to make sure wife and indecent lift our work schedules.

I have booked my car in to get the Kamikaze ceramic coating applied in a couple of weeks time. My mate got it applied to his Boxster 718T and it has given it a really glossy finish.
