Mess? What mess?

This guy may be the poster child for how harmonious and focused things are.
I, I, I never thought I'd hear and see the day. Maybe he hates children and or khakis. People just walking by like it's just another great day in NYC.

Answers are easy. Getting someone who isn't beholden to special interests in the white house is the problem. 72% of Americans think that US is going the wrong way. 80% think their children will be worse off then they are. 80% hate the Iran deal. 1 in 5 children in the US now live in poverty. We are #1 spenders on education and #22 in educating children. This is not what we signed up for.

White as snow.
That is what I consider a "hot" mess. Watching too much something isn't he.

Calm cool dad would have put his fist through his face eventually.

That's pretty much what I'd do.

LOL, I was near spitting blood after reading the second sentence but then cooled down quickly.

Pesky facts....
1/20/1981 Dow 940
1/20/1993 Dow 3244
345% return Reagan Bush

1/20/2001 Dow 10587
326% Clinton

Real numbers. Personally. I prefer to wait a year into each presidency to let new president policies take effect. Doing that you get to my numbers for Reagan. Worse for Clinton, etc. mix and match. Bottom line is Reagan set up the economy and bush 1 and Clinton coasted on autopilot. Double whammy of tech bubble and 9/11 hurt.
Bush got it from a crater of 7500 to almost double before the housing bubble burst. Then he got it back to where he started with it again.

Obama from his Election Day through today is 68% after being handed a Dow climbing up from the crater 4 months earlier. Wow. How impressive. Lol

I heard 80% on the radio as a poll that came out today while driving. Just had time to look it up. Still 2 to one against. 55% to 25%.

Pew's poll (not a conservative organization) shows 21% support it - that may be where the 80% number comes from that you heard on the radio:

http://www.people-press.org/2015/09/...reement-falls/

Speaking of polls - Rasmussen shows the number of people who strongly disapprove of Obama are 2-1 over those who strongly approve, and it's been pretty consistent all along:

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/publ..._index_history

And apparently Americans are still more favorable toward VW than Chrysler and GM:

Well if I'm inaccurate I admit it unlike some on here who choose to ignore. Still haven't seen any real ideas to fix anything yet. A lot of nit picking or criticisms but no ideas.

So if I started with the Dow at 10000 and ended at 10000 I'd have a 100% return? Finally I understand how the GOP does their budget projections!

I don't think anyone is running for president on this forum. And to answer the question, no one man or woman can change anything in this country without control in both houses. So what's the point of "what if'ing"? But here's a tip I live by; don't discuss 4 things with random people, politics, religion, money and dick size. Because someone is always going to end up feeling small and rather upset.
