My summer diet plan is 179 days deployed to Balad Air Base, Iraq running around with countless pounds of body armor and gear. Leaving in 30 days...

I have been cutting for a little under two months. Started at 170lbs/13%bf, and now I'm at 160lbs/10%bf. My goal is to hit 8%bf, and then lean bulk until I hit 175-180.

I eat clean (also do the same when I bulk), just limiting my cals to 2100 while cutting. Sucks, but its only temporary. I hit the gym 6 days per week (lift 5 days per week and do cardio 3 days per week). I can't wait to start bulking again...

I track cals/macros... take in adequate protein (a little more than my bodyweight, around 200g per day), 20-25% from good fats, and the rest in carbs (around my bodyweight while cutting).

I just started mine and I have a lot of work to go (currently 185/30%BF)

Monday/Wednesday/Friday - Full body workout (4 excercises on each muscle group 3 sets of 10)

Tuesday/Thursday - Light workout w/ high reps and abs

Everyday - cardio

As far as eating I just try to eat healthier then I was, not too sure about the calories but just use basic logic; if it seems like you shouldn't eat it...dont.

Not sure if that helps but best of luck with everything.

My daily intake of calories is around 1600-2000 calories. Add a mile jog to that and i'm headed for the finish line! I am currently 5'11 240 rougly. My best mile is a 8:26. Boosted is there anything else I should do to maximize my workout and weight loss? Im currently training for a half-marathon in july and NEED to cut atleast 40 pounds.

BoostedBMW definitely knows his stuff.

As of this Saturday I'm down to 152 lbs with 12ish percent body fat. I want to get down to 9 percent body fat by summer, pretty reachable goal. (Not too shabby considering that I only started lifting weight on 1-12-09, prior to that it was just cardio). I was 210 lbs at 30% body fat in Sept of 2008 before I started my journey.

I'm also not taking any supplement pills or anything of that nature. I don' see it as a diet, I see it as a change of lifestyle. Diet is only temporary.

I calculated my BMR and found out how many cals I should take in daily and go from there. I don't starve myself, but I don't eat nonsense stuff on a regular basis.

I go to the gym at least 5 times a week, albeit I aim for 7 days a week. 2 hours per session. The 2 hour session includes a 3.5 mile run for the first 30 mins to warm things up. An hour lifting and working the abs. The last 30 mins is used to do intervals on the treadmill or cycling or on the elliptical machine. I'm not trying to be buff or anything, just defined.

BTW Mike, I PM'd you a couple of days ago.

Usually try to intake around 2000 calories. On the weekdays I limit myself to only healthy fats, good carbs and lots of lean meats. I usually eat whatever on the weekends, which is pretty bad. Currently at 160lbs with 12% bf. I want to get down to 9% by this summer.

Since I don't really care about max lift anymore, I try to do an all body workout (Crossfit). It's more fun than just straight lifting at the gym. I usually lift/Crossfit 3 times a week and 3 days of Muay Thai.

Hey buddy looks like u started where i did...

i am 6 feet tall and i was 246 pounds, chekc out my sig, my serious diet however began on jan 26th. I always had a nice fit body been a athlete my whole life, so i guess my body memory is still there. However, for 240 pounds you should roughly be eating 2800 calories a day to maintain your weight, aka 12 calories per pound. I would eat about 1800-1900 calories of CLEAN food, and amp up the cardio to about 35 mins 5 times a week. With this workout you should cut down pretty quickly....

Eat one or two cheat meals a week, aka in n out or pizza or whatever, to give your body a shock so when you jump on your diet again youll see more effects.

the first 30 pounds were not so difficult to lose, just eating right cutting the food intake and increasing the cardio. Dont get me wrong though bro....you definately need to have your fun with this new life style. I still drink with the guys if we go to a bar and such, i just like to eat clean the whole week and eat one cheat meal a week. I eat 6 meals a day, aka 42 meals a week. So 1/42 is not going to do anything or even 2/42.

Just matters what you want and how fast you want it....

I have a really good feeling the first 30 pounds were taken off my legs and stomach and a little from my face/waist, i have a big frame. The next 15-17 pounds im very very eager and pumped to lose, because itll actually get to my face and waist i believe and know so....Once im below 200 pounds or right at 200 then ill see how i like my body and go from there, if im not getting cut, ill cut down another 15 pounds and start lefting to gain mass while keeping my body fat down.

But ill tell you something guys, this is the skinnest ive been for over 2 and a half years(im 21) and ONCE you start seeing results and people who knew u at your fattest for me it was 30 pounds ago, come up to you and tell you omg did you lose weight you look good!, it really pumps you up!! I still have more weight to lose and i have a feeling im not going to stop until im below 200.....

It tookme 3 and half years to jump from 185-245 pounds, and im going to lose it again in 4 months max if i want to go to that weight....

guys pm me if anyone needs help!! and GO FOR IT, ITS WORTH IT..

my motivation was anger on jan 26th..lol

How do you find out what percentage body fat you have? I don't think I have much (I'm underweight), but I'm curious!
