I found out that if you have Spotify linked to your facebook account, it doesn't seem to let you sync your account to more than 1 vehicle. I have it on my Z4, but could not get it working on my X3 (M40i). Basically I had to ditch my new Spotify account and make a new one with a user id and password. Using those credentials, I was able to get spotify working on both cars.

I'm surprised Spotify really lacks a lot of functionality even in the windows client.
