Toyota has already said it will have more power. The Supra is going to be the new z4m.

Considering what Toyota has done with the GT86 and that they didn't bother to make a manual version I think it'll be an overstyled Z4 Coupe. |

Just curious because early information (that I thought I read) was the opposite. I can no longer find my source for that information, though. I had read that Toyota would be using BMW powertrains in the Supra but that they would be slightly less tuned so that the Z4 remained the faster of the 2 cars. Like I said, though, I can't find this information anymore. |

Sport Auto weighed the car as well: 1588 kgs, full tank without the driver. Oh, 357 PS.
OG M2 weighed less when they supertested it, horspower was 394 PS I think |

Maybe not, but the stock civic type R was also tested by autoexpress on anglesey track and found faster than the m4 for example. Difference was small though; 0,2sec, which would translate to about 2sec on nordschleife times.

But the time you list for the Type R is incorrect: SportAuto tested the type R for 8:01. And that time might be a bit slow as they've also tested the M2 at 8:01, so an equal time. Of course the longer/straighter/faster the track gets the more an m4 or m2 gets into its advantage over a civic because the civic is down 60hp on the m2 and 120hp on the m4. So it performs better on tracks with narrow slow corners where it can gain time with the better handling/braking.
