Know anyone that works at UPS?

So long story short, UPS lost 1 of 2 boxes that had my Akrapovic exhaust cans. So I received one box and lo and behold the sticky pouch with the label for the second box was crumpled up and stuck to the box I received. So the second box is floating around with no label. Tried calling and their "investigation" team has turned up nothing after the standard 8 day waiting period.

Turning to the community to see if there is anyone that could help convince them to look again or more thoroughly. It's a huge waste of titanium to have one useless can without the other.

Thanks in advance!

UPS claims are dealt with by the shipper and they only pay the shipper. I would contact the shipper and have them deal with UPS, file a claim if it's lost, and re-ship the missing item to you.

That doesn't matter. My company ships on our account every order and if there is an issue the shipper is always responsible. Good luck!

And by the way...using a plastic pouch and the packing slip as the label is a stupid mistake and the cause of all of your problems!

Challenge the payment to the vendor, then they will help you with UPS

Thanks guys for the input and experience. Well full story is I bought the exhaust used on eBay. Seller had the ups store package them up into two boxes. I had my company's shipping dept email him two labels. The ups store were the one who used sticky pouches to hold the labels. One box tracked fine, the other only had a scan that it was at the ups store awaiting pick up. Never had another scan. Got the one package and saw the crumpled sticky pouch from the second box on it and heart sank. Been on the phone with ups and gave them perfect descriptions of the contents. No one has been able to find it in their system. They sent me a claim form and will reimburse me $130. $100 for item and $30 for shipping. That's where it stands as of right now.
