Thanks!
Never turning the garage into a "storage unit". I insist on keeping our cars inside!
I already have two, large, 4-Tier Shelve racks. I just purchased two large ceiling storage metal racks as well that mount to the studs in garage ceiling. So definitely working on it.

Thank you.
Definitely not that expensive. But a very pretty penny for certain!

What kind of grilling set up are you going to have at the new place?
I was considering a built in enclosed grill. But, my current Weber is relatively new. And works so dang good! I do have a natural gas tap out if I decide to do one in the future tho.

My primary focus will be some absolutely badass Furniture with particular focus in my Home Theater, Lounge and Kitchen. Because I love Movies. I love to cook and eat. And my wife and I love to entertain entertain with house parties and cook outs.
If I were building a new house, there is one major tech related feature I would be sure to have in order to help future proof the house, which is cat 6 cabling run throughout to build a home network. As simple or outdated as that may sound to some people, it is something that can be massively beneficial.

Many people may think, "why bother, just use WiFi". In such a large house, multiple WiFi access points may be necessary to provide coverage throughout. Deploying those access points is much easier if there is already ethernet cabling throughout the house connecting back to a core network switch. In rooms where you may have a smart TV, game console, streaming device, etc, those systems can then directly connect to the home network for a more reliable connection.

Also think of where you might want to place security cameras, as no security camera is completely wireless. Sure, there are WiFi cameras, but those will still need a power wire running to them. Network wiring can be used to connect and power PoE cameras, so you would have to think of where to potentially place those security cameras and have network lines run there.

Enjoy the new place! It looks like it will be awesome. I am a bit surprised the builders didn't consider a 3 car garage for such a big place though.

Did just this when I renovated my home 7 years ago. Don't regret it.

OP house design looks great!

Block party at TXSTYLE's!
(jk.. maybe...)
I agree with keeping the wifi appliances to a minimum.
Poses a security risk in terms of those who know how to infiltrate a network just to wreak havoc for funsies!

Thanks again guys!

Not sure of the name. But I'll try and find out. I think they were presented to us as number options. Definitely l o v e it though! Very unique and unlike our current brick color. There burgundy, dark grey, and brown in our selection.

Congrats! Just closed on a new place a few months ago....always a stressful but exciting process. Did you get pix of the plumbing/elec/gas/HVAC/etc runs in the stud/joist bays before any drywall goes up? I've always found that invaluable for future home reno.

*Update*

Fully Bricked and Stoned with painted trim and garage. I love the little detailing like the 'diagonal bricks' above the garage and above the entryway/porch. And if you look closely: above garage door, just below roof, the decorative horizontal thin bricks for added design.

Really l o v e the brick color we picked!

I'll miss our current 3-car garage, but the long driveway can fit 4 vehicles in front of the garage which is nice.

The herringbone mixed with the soldier course (the bricks standing up) is absolutely beautiful!

Like it very much. Now give it a go and paint the blue house in the background red for a better contrast
