Got the car cleaned again

With the rain we've been having, it gets dirty so fast.
They made me a little video, so i thought i'd share it here

if it rains you get water inthere too
low pressure is fine, these days everything is protected against water.

Yeah, they are reasonably waterproof, and spray from the road and such as fine. Low pressure water would be fine as well.

I'm not suggesting the detailer did anything incorrect, far from it (seems like a great place). But on the topic, there would be areas certainly to avoid - any electrical connections, any vent tubes, gaskets, etc. I'd also be a little cautious with the cleaners, some can attack bearings and such as well. Degreasers make things look great but there are a few spots grease is good!

Wow! That guy is stellar! Only thing I found odd was no air blower prior to bringing out the towels.

That would be funny, after all those modifications, that it would end up getting destroyed by getting it washed

Ran a few errands this morning and picked up a couple more compliments. As I was getting out of the car at the mower shop, a guy walked by and said, "Nice color." Later, when I stopped to pick up lunch, one of the workers there who saw me drive up said, "That's a nice Beemer."

This thing just draws attention everywhere.

Put on a Dinan intake and Cusco strut bars.

Intake sound is pretty subtle which is what I wanted. Invisible during normal driving, but you get some induction noise when you floor it. You also hear a little bit of the recirc valve when letting off.

Strut bars are mainly cosmetic. Was gonna go with the Dinan bars but this is almost the same price so why not. I know that middle bar probably does nothing but it can’t hurt either. It’s quite close to the hood when you close it but there’s a pad under the hood anyway. The angle of the bar to the relief in the air box doesn’t match completely but oh well. They don’t contact or anything, but if you’re ocd this might bother you

Looks like they use the same bolt locations, so... it's the Dinan air box that's angled a little differently than stock?

Maybe. The Dinan uses the same rubber mounting points as the stock box also though.

Edit: found one of the rubber mounting points for the box had kinda fallen off.
It lines up much better now.

What I did with my Z4 today was nothing! I'm in agony! It was 73 today, first warm day since fall and I had to take the SUV in for some work and wait for it. So, no chance to drive my Z4. Temperature drops to 11 tonight. Horrible timing!
