Likely MY25 will be it

BMW normally runs a model 7 years. The G29 model was released in MY19 and was unchanged for the first 4 model years as usual. The MY23 car is the LCI year car so the MY23 car will likely run 3 more model years. No one knows BMW's plans for this car beyond MY25 but with the low sales volume its likely they will cancel the model for MY26 or maybe convert it to an eV.

In 10-15 years, it will be illegal in most places to manufacture/sell new cars with gasoline engines.

Maybe in 25-50 years from now we’ll get an electric Z5?

Not sure what is considered a “classic” these days, but the current generation definitely will be extremely RARE in the future and will therefore hold extra value/interest for certain people.

No doubt that there will be lots of genuintly excellent EV powered convertibles & roadsters in the future.

But lacking an ICE they’re all going to be missing something, IMO.

I’ve long been ready for the end of ICE powered leaf blowers and noisy thumper powered dirt-bikes & dual sports (especially in otherwise quiet forested or backcountry recreational areas) though. Gotta take the good with the bad, I guess.
