update from my CA on the wireless charging recall. They are going to deliver the car to me and I'll sign an acknowledgement of the recall issue, to be fixed at a later date. But if all goes as planned I'll get to pick up my car next week!

Hold all buyers and sellers of 2 series, 8 series, and z4 with stupid optional wireless charger hostage because of a stupid digital key which BMW has valued at $80?

Just delete the digital key for now! And finally that’s what BMW decided. Remedy coming in July. Whooptie-doo — I can’t wait for my digital key

This is a time for us to rejoice!

Maybe I’m missing how to retrieve it- but do you have a copy of the form we will be asked to sign? My Dealer did not mention this, and they already sent me all paperwork to sign.

Sorry, no, the links in the PDFs don't seem to work for me. I retrieved the documents from the NHTSA website. I'm unsure if the form is yet available in PDF.

Finally joined the family with a 2022 s30i (with I could afford 40i tho..).

The acknowledgment is simple, digital key is disabled in both idrive and the myBMW app. When there is a fix, BMW will contact you.

agree with this. Picked up my B8 yesterday and the digital key is disabled, and they gave me a letter stating the will be in contact when a software update is available. The wireless charger still works.

That looks great. I was thissss close to buying a glacier silver one a local dealer had on their lot, thought it had the Ivory interior. I like the Magma much better with the silver.
