M40i at a discount

I’m looking at purchasing a new Z4

Is it reasonable to consider getting a discount on this car under MSRP?

Please advise… Thanks ❕

Not really, honestly. Last time I was able to get a 57,500 30i down to about 53,000. That wasn't too terribly hard.

Just put in an order for the M40i a little while ago and got them to come $1000 down, and then also with whatever incentive programs that they got going on when the car is delivered, but that's it.

It's a low production car, so they aren't looking to budge much, if at all.

I appreciate the input

That seems reasonable to me

Did you purchase or lease the incoming?

I've seen slight discounts from MSRP for cars on the lot. Special order...best of luck. BMW CCA club rebate https://www.bmwcca.org/vehicle_rebate

I got 3.5% of MSRP when I placed my order in January using a broker. I bet you could get at least that now.

Edit: The broker I used is advertising 6% off a 30i. I’d inquire about the M40i.

BMW CCA is a rebate. It's $500 on the Z4, but that's the same regardless of what discount you'd negotiate on the car as that is after the fact. There are some membership requirements to qualify for it though.

Cool thanks for letting me know that super nice of you

I’m okay with my membership and I will not be using a broker so I am good for the rebate

FYI, even if you used a broker you'd still be able to get the rebate. The broker goes through a BMW dealer. They just have pre-negotiated discounts with their dealers. I did all my paperwork and picked the car up from a dealer.

I understand and I don’t blame you for using one. Dealing w/ a dealership sometimes can be worse than pulling teeth

I have a great relationship with both general managers of my local stores, so I don’t believe it’ll be an issue

But if I come to a standstill, I might consider it, so thank you… I really appreciate it ❕

I might be a little sad to sell my M car, but I’m looking forward to having a convertible again. I have missed it dearly.

Wow, that’s nice you experienced it
I truly hope BMW brings back Euro Delivery one day…

Did the Z4 replace your OG M2❔

How do they compare as a sports car ❔

I replaced the M2 with a M340i then replaced that with the Z4 (plus a hybrid accord for daily lol)

The Z4 is better in almost every way than the M2 as a sports car and its more comfortable to daily or take on long trips. The M2 might've had a sharper front end but that can be replicated in the Z4 with some more negative camber and better tires I think
