Can you activate the rear view (backup) camera while in drive?

I was wondering if you can activate the rear view camera while driving. It would be an added safety option to eliminate any blind spots.

From factory setting, you can't. Tried on mine.

Unless there is some type of Jailbreak the factory software....

Yes, I was hoping that there was a way to do this.

Yes, you can code the speed thresholds for the camera. The only downside is that you will need to manually turn it OFF when going from reverse to drive, the speed threshold will never be reached and therefore stay on the screen perpetually until you manually turn off the camera, or switch screens in idrive.

I've found this consequence of allowing the "anytime" camera mod to outweigh the benefit and thus this never makes it to my coding list on my BMWs
