Z4M with an S58 engine may not come, but a Z4 with a manual transmission would be a special model.

I put a lot of extra into the frozen grey and PPF to protect it. It’s really special but not sure I’d want to do that again even though I love the look. Maybe blue. Probably white or SG. Maybe they’ll offer more colors next year and give us everything we have been dreaming about

Based on past experiences with BMW’s colors, I wouldn’t hold your breath. 😂

I meant wheel color. I'm definitely doing thunder night metallic.

It's a pretty awesome color but I keep configuring cars with blue paint and brown interior. Good combo plus hopefully easy to hide how dirty it will inevitably get. Dirty to my eyes at least, but I've been told I'm "particular".

The up-sized wheel options are really intriguing. What else might change? Hmm. Hopefully only better handling / steering, it'd be plausible to tweak the struts, springs, anti-roll bars, or EPS coding. I still kill time browsing Supra upgrades and wondering what trasnfers over.

Hoping to not get idrive 8, but given the other related changes needed on an outgoing car I kind of doubt they'll do it.

I have seen the iDrive 8 screen in a friend's M3 Competition and IMHO the iDrive 7 screen is a better look and more appropriate for the interior of the Z4.

Same here. I’d really like to add a Z4 to my garage, but only if it comes in manual. I don’t think they’ll add the S58, that would add about 10-15k to the price, maybe more? But merino leather would be a nice option.

There's no need to worry about that, zero percent chance they would make such a significant change so late in the lifecycle. ID8 would require re-engineering the entire dash area, a nontrivial feat.

The only changes will be "parts swaps" and perhaps new colors, nothing that requires significant engineering changes, though I suppose new components could be added so long as they don't impose changes to other components.

Well, now there are rumors that Toyota might get their hands on an S58 for the Supra, even though BMW have been adamant that the packaging does not let it fit in the Z4 engine bay. No way BMW would approve a 400+ HP tune on a B58 let alone a 500+ HP one.

I don't see that happening.
