A Christmas Miracle

We just got the best news in our lives! My MIL just found out the Glioblastoma was misdiagnosed and it's instead Histoplasmosis. This is a fungal infection that goes through the lungs. Hers developed to the point of creating a brain mass that had to be removed.

While it will still be a tough go it's not terminal cancer!!! The surgeon called today to tell her and profusely apologize, doesn't bother us one bit, he did a fantastic job and we'll take the incredible news. Apparently this mimics Glioblastoma which causes patients to then get treated for cancer and pass away due to being misdiagnosed. Thankfully the company that was looking at the genetic markers are the ones who caught it. Hopefully with a year of steroids and lots of antibiotics she'll be all cleared up.

Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers, I truly appreciate each and every one of you. I wish you all a Merry Christmas, I know we can now have one!

Wow! What a relief! I'm sure some challenges lay ahead but having her death sentence commuted has to be so wonderful.
