In the first he returns to the car to roll up the mirrors - doesn't it do that it self when he locks the car? If so: "Hate those note-real parts of ad's (in this case even showcasing the cars feature to be worse than it is) if not: wtf?

Depends on the car/market. People in Canada have to get that option coded to work.

Not in the US. We have to code it to fold by pressing to lock button on the key.

I really wonder what stupid law we have in north America to prevent that feature from being on by default. But yes it can be coded and is such a nice feature once activated.

In the US, BMW's are programmed not to auto fold. Has to be manually triggered.

Don't you know how these things work? Somebody out there did something so stupid, and then decided to lawyer up and sue the manufacturer, so the rest of us not so stupid people have to suffer and get shiet coded...

Just takes one person to ruin it for the rest of us... I wonder if we search through the forums we can find the person... I imagine the title to look something like -

"Ran over kid in driveway reversing because stupid mirrors didn't fold out... Should I sue??"

Are you guys actually falling for this truly awful advertising?

Really? Like really? These cars aren't even brand new! Ohhhhhhh wait, maybe that's the subliminal message, you love your nearly new Beemur so much you don't want some "non respecting person" to scratch it wherever you go.........

Good point perhaps as my new, now nearly new, somewhat 2 years old beemurs qualify for that ad!! Except for the one with 2 covers on it! Wtf!

In the US they don't automatically close when you lock the car.

There's no law. My the side mirrors on my wife's Mercedes fold in when she locks the car.
