How to reset oil service message

I have a 2019 Z4 G29 with only 1200 miles. I do not need an oil change yet. I think the message went on due to duration (it is a 2019) as a reminder.

Can someone please help me with a procedure to reset this message?
Thanks.

Dealer changed my oil at 1300 miles since its been a year already.
It is either 9,000 miles or 12 months, which ever comes first.

ahhh yes, the whole "time instead of mileage" scam.....unfortunately common to all manufacturers now the computers have made it so easy to do. I think I had to do the oil change on my Jag last time at 1200 kms. AFAIK the dealer has to clear the message.

So there is no way to clear the message? The dealer only has the power to do so?

OK so i figured it out...DO NOT USE THIS IF YOU REALLY NEED AN OIL CHANGE.
I did this because of very unique circumstances of my car having low miles for a long duration.
Procedure.
1. Without brakes pressed, press your start button 3 times. Gets you to diagnostic mode.
2. Then pres the BC button (the left stick on steering wheel), for 10 seconds
3. Then it shows 4 things you can toggle through. Toggle to the oil icon.
4. Press 10 seconds and it will then ask a question "do you want to reset"
5. Press 10 seconds to indicate yes, and this will reset the mile/time reminder
6. Press the car start/stop button without brakes. and yer back to normal

By the way, that oil change is free (well, you paid for it upfront when you bought the car). Not sure why you wouldn’t go ahead and have it changed?

I was looking at prepaid Mercedes service... $1700 Cdn for first 3 years! Pre paid service is such a money grab, but maybe it's easier for some people to lump it into their financing. Volkswagen tried to force me to pre pay for first major service (haldex) which was $1300 I think, maybe $1600 - I absolutely refused to pay for it up front.

I rather like BMW free service.. I know we are probably paying for it anyhow, but it's still nice. I just had the oil changed on my Golf R before I traded it (today, for an X3 M40i) and it cost $140 Cdn! :O

Wow... I have been paying $100 to $200 for these oil changes on various cars, but at least they included some diagnostics, tire rotation, fluid top off, car wash, vacuum, etc. so at least I had the illusion to get something of value for my money. I think most dealers would have done a simple oil change if pressed - and most are actually almost competitive.

What If the oil maintenance reset light says “impossible” I know “possible” your able to reset it. Time for oil changed has already lapsed but the mileage is super low still (600 miles)
