Good read. We shall all wait and see, I can’t wait

I think the Supra is going to be a great car, from some of the reviews from the Z4, looks to be promising. I have a feeling both cars are not going to disappoint in the driving aspect, this coming from a Porsche GT and many M cars and a S2000 owner.

Not a huge fan, but will reserve judgement until seeing it in the metal...

NO THANKS.

Waaaay too much going on here. The hood lines look just like the fiat. The mesh grill is confusing, the side vents look like an after thought.

The interior is pretty sweet though.

im going to have to wait until I see it in person to make any judgements. I am very familiar with the power plant in the X3 M40, and i cant wait to see how lively this chassis is. The power plant is a peach for the mid-performer 6 cylinder from BMW.

Looks like some good DNA. I know many of you don't like modified BMW's - especially not cosmetics mods, but IMHO, if you:
  • Lowered it
  • Put F80 style kidney grills in
  • Replaced the hood with one styled like the E92 M3
  • Gave it a F10 style trunk spoiler

You'd have a pretty good looking BMW roadster.

EDIT: and did something about those BUG-EYED headlights. Maybe if you carbon wrapped the top triangle on those lights it'd fix the face.

Looks like trash. Jesus. Bmw sold their soul to everyday consumer needs with soft steering feel to a edgy oval design. Looks like a Kia stinger coupe

Way to kick a man while he’s down. I thought I noticed a good angle but it was a Z8

Garage List
I want to like this and hope I will but right now I'm kind of meh. I'm unsure about the kidney grills without bars (it's just odd), there is a lot of geometric shapes in the car (front and back: front end opening, exhaust outlets, reflectors in the rear which are hideous with all of that black plastic - guess it depends on the color or IND will fix), the front is aggressive but I'm not digging the black plastic on the out edge of the radiator opening opening (seems like they should be removed/painted), the interior is cool but holy cow that infotainment screen is huge! (not in a good way IMO), the seats are on point, the headlight buttons (lack of a switch) are cool IMO, the piano black trim is a downside but hopefully, it could be switch out for another material. The soft top is great! I'll hold my final judgment until I see it in person/ when I see more pics of it.

Man, the E89 was a gorgeous car, it just needed better dynamics. Mine felt like steering a boat, and my wheels cracked on the first pothole they hit. The turbo+DCT lag was horrendous, the suspension was weirdly harsh for how disconnected it was, and every inch of that car squeaked. The E89 was beautiful, but it was a bad car.

The new car has slightly better proportions, I'm looking forward to it's sportiness, but the overall design is 3 steps backwards. BMW, you're killing me. Why couldn't you make a great car and take the design to the next level. The M3 has a great design, the M2C has a great design, the new X3 has a great design, I know you can do this...

To my eyes, the new Z4 looks like an updated S2000. I'm fine with that, actually. It will age well, and I'm sure those who like it will really like it, as is always the case. My concern is whether it will have more legroom that its predecessor. I was too tall to fit in either car.

Have we started guessing how much they will cost?

Genuinely really surprised by how many people like the styling. I find it to be hugely disappointing.

Over-styled with an excessive use of body creases, and a very busy rear end that has far too many contrasting characteristics. Front end looks painstakingly similar to a Fiat 124.

Not dissimilar from the Bangle e85, but worse.
