If you go to ambient lighting tab in your z4 and you see the preview of the different colors you can see it's a 6 speed in the pictures

This was in a z4 M40i, I know other markets are getting them but the us is not as of now.

Yea, I wouldn't hold my breath. As much as those of us who appreciate a MT and wish the Z4 would be available with one in true sports car fashion, I just don't see it happening in the US with either the S drive 30 or M40. BMW has been quite consistent in denying a MT will ever become available or for that matter that we'll see a true Z4 M at some point. I think we're simply lucky there is a Z4. If the decision to work with Toyota to develop the Z4 were made today rather than the 8 or so years ago, I doubt it would get past the bean counters and decision makers. The Z4 will be a very low volume product and ultimately quite rare compared to all other BMW's on the road, especially the SAV's.

Unless I see a real one in the wild, I'm going to rank a manual transmission Z4 M40i up there with Bigfoot and Unicorns....
