Hey! I just did ED with my Z4 M40i back in July. I had zero issues with trunk space. I was able to fit a large eastpak suitcase into the slightly tighter portion of the trunk at its deepest point (this one: https://www.eastpak.com/uk-en/luggag...9X+00+999.html), along with 2 backpacks, and other small items as well. Could have fit more into the trunk if necessary, like a duffel bag. It's surprisingly roomy back there, given the dimensions of the car. The netted portion behind the seats was perfect for water bottles, snacks, and baseball caps. The small passthrough cubby can also hold baseball caps or other similar-sized items without an issue.

Of all the two seat roadsters I looked at, only the Z4 and the Boxster had decent luggage space....and of course, the Boxster's was broken into two separate spaces.

Thanks for the info. That Eastpak suitcase is big. 2 of us for 2 weeks in late October. Guess we’ll need to pack a puffy coat and wear the heavy shoes! What itinerary did you drive?

We drove from Munich to Fussen in Bavaria, then to Tyrol in Austria. From there we cut west across Austria to Liechtenstein, then south through Switzerland and Italy to Milan. We continued south to Florence, then looped back up along the Italian coast to Portofino and Genoa, and then spent our last night in Monaco. Our last day was spent in Nice and along the French Riviera, before we dropped the car off at the airport and flew back!

Yeah the tour was a whirlwind but we planned things in advance as much as possible to get as much as we could out of each location! Definitely a fun holiday, but not overly relaxing - I'm sure yours will feel like more of a break!

I did a Costco run last week in my M40i . I got 3 cases of 24 bottles of sparkling water, 4x 2ltr bottles of cordial, 12x 50ml cans of Monster, 6x packs of cocktail sausages, 3x packs of coffee capsules,6 pairs of mens socks, Apples, Oranges, morning milk drinks.
I still had room in there but it was getting a bit tight by then. I have done 3 weeks into Europe in the E89 that I had with no issue. This car has a much more usable boot space so expect it will easily swallow a bigger load next year when it goes for it's summer blast to the South of France. |
