I've researched water quality to death requiring salts free water to run thru a fogger that hangs 11' up in the greenhouse plus contemplating doing whole house.

Whole house R/O is caustic to fixtures, pulls ions off anything metallic it comes in contact with. Rainwater doesn't....don't ask me why.

Another really good and economical treatment is TAC conditioning. I've seen a large restaurant in Georgetown (El Monumento) incorporate the system not only for the whole op but also to feed cooling nozzles outdoors on a patio. Owner spent a lot of time answering my questions on it.
No, I don't collect rain water. I do have R/O for drinking water. We are about to move into a new house here soon up in Belverde. We'll see how this move goes. I still want to do R/O in the new house too. Great source of drinking water.

I also want to make sure one of my spigots have treated water for washing cars too.

I don't even have 300 miles on mine. This is going to be a long break in period.

I might have that much, need to look. Took delivery in April.

Mileage all depends on your lifestyle. We're retired, don't travel and might drive into town from the farm 3X a week.

I sold a 2010 Tundra 6 months ago with only 19,000 miles on it.

a 2010 tundra with 19k miles might be something to keep on the farm. Anywho, I'm not fortunate enough to be able to retire, but I am working on it.

Wow! Yeah that's actually quite incredible! lol

The Z4 is now my daily driver so I definitely get out and about often. I don't always go somewhere, but with a 10 year old, school, extracurricular activities, having to go to office here and there.. it adds up.

I have 3600 miles on my car since April but that is due to two road trips, three Z club drives, plus just having a ball with the car.

Yeah, I miss it. Loading a 9' t post into the X5 is wee bit challenging.

My new retirement went from the daily office to visiting doctor's offices way too often.

Good luck with your plan!

It adds up fast!

Oh, and good morning hot rodders. A sunrise walk up and down the drive. Make it a hot rod day.

I'm a sunset kind of guy.

I see it as a time for me to sigh in relief after a long day. It's time to take that load off and give myself a little "me" time. I feel a great weight lifting off my shoulders.

Prior to military service, I was rarely ever awake for the sunrise. Starting of military service, sunrise meant reveille trumpets blaring and time to put things into over drive. Now it's a ... let the "shit show begin."

I love how the light bounces off of everything in the sunset as the dark starts to settle in... the deep blues contrasting off of slight orange and yellow hues. However, I can also appreciate the deep silhouettes produced by a sunrise. Especially here in Texas. See pic below.

Two pics are comparisons of sunrise and sunset.

Nice, in the Army we were always up before sunrise. PT was first and nothing like watching the sunrise while on a 12-mile roadmarch.

I always knew that sitting for extended periods was a sought after skill in the USAF. I seem to recall that their PT test also consisted of donut eating and coffee drinking.

Damn that’s pretty!!!

In other news…. Today marked the third car washing in three weeks. Told my kid I was gonna wash it today and he excitedly asked me if he could help. I said yes… and he exclaimed with glee. He said to me quietly…. I really like washing your car, Daddy.

I just have him work on wheels knowing I’m gonna have to do them again, but that’s ok. The time together is worth it. He helps me dry too.
