During my delivery orientation yesterday, the technician informed me that I can configured my Z4 to automatically put the window down when I arrive at a specific location. He gave the example of every time he pulls up next to his mailbox. He clearly lives somewhere where it never rains. I am assuming that this is to avoid the difficult task of moving my left hand to the button and pushing. All of that aside and even though I’m a huge techno-geek, I’ve been struggling to come up with an actual use case for this feature. I thought I would open it up to this auspicious group!

Bonus points for functionality AND creativity (Also, everyone gets a virtual trophy…)

McDonalds drive through (other drive through restaurants are available &#128514
Entering and exiting works car park (scan ID card)
Toll booth on the motorways and toll roads (if not ANPR)
Entering and existing multi-story car parks (take ticket and give ticket)
Regular drive-by's ????😂😉😊

IMHO I've only used it for my works car park. 😊

I have it set for my friends house coordinates. The parking space is so narrow that I better have the window open in order to get out.

Thailand technician mentioned nothing about such feature.... can someone please teach me how it's setup? Thanks in advance!

Go to apps in the lower left corner of your home screen, then check installed apps, you should see an app named automatic windows.

As a troll....... it'd be hilarious to program a whole bunch of locations to automatically put down your windows... just driving around, it's raining and then BOOM window goes down in the middle of the high way.

I don't want the window going down automagically when outdoors. The only use I've found is for an area inside a parking garage where I have to use my badge to enter. It's semi-nice not to have to manipulate the window while I'm dealing with getting the badge ready.

I'm with Horseman: if my mortal enemy is ever sufficiently unwise as to allow me access to their car (as happens so often with mortal enemies), I'll program in a bunch of spots all over town and hope for a deluge.

I wonder if any of the mirror controls are actually available to the car’s control modules or if homelink is just driven by the local buttons on the mirror. My guess is that it is just local to the mirror.
