New buyers take note - received our BMW CCA $500 rebate
Make sure all the fields are completed. Follow up to make sure CCA has approved and submitted your application to the BMW N.A. office which will cut the check. I had quite a (technical) glitch to work thru on our X5 but finally got a hefty check in 2019.
3 year CCA membership is worth it for nothing else than the excellent Roundel magazine which is published 10 times/year. Editor is Satch Carlson who is as good as they come - witty, charming and a wizard with words. All the contributors are tops. https://www.bmwcca.org/vehicle_rebate Review Your Eligibility Answers This vehicle is a New vehicle Delivery date 04/22/2021 Mileage 9 Address 1 |

Unfortunately I learned about it after I had started negotiating back in March. I couldn’t wait 6 months before ordering…

A membership requirement may be met in one of two ways: A membership of one year (365 days) or more immediately preceding the delivery date of the vehicle is required to take advantage of this program. A member in good standing cannot have any lapse in membership during that 12-month period. A non-refundable membership of three or more years can be purchased to reduce the 12-month waiting period to 6 months. BMW has really become a grinch post covid - no more loyalty goodies, few if any other bennies. Hell, you're lucky if you can get a new car that meets your specs from any manufacturer these days with the chip shortage and such. Dealing is pretty tough too, unless you play the game well. I got our build for invoice, 6% off MSRP including shipping which was pretty nice. Later asked our salesMAN how much they made on me and he said "$200". Said I got such a good deal (the 2nd time around BTW) because I played one dealership against the other. I made 4 offers to 4 dealers before San Antonio finally gave in and came off their first counter offer a thou or so. Was also the time when allocations were not there, late 2020. |

An hour's drive for us. We always get a loaner and visit the great stores and restaurants at The Rim, N.W. San Antonio while our car is being serviced.

That sounds nice. Unfortunately there isn’t much of interest for us around the dealership I bought it from. As I mentioned in another thread, I have an excellent service person I work with at the local dealership. I asked him about Z4 reliability before I bought mine and he said I shouldn’t have any concerns.

got 16% off my Z4 in August 2020, as a "leftover 2020" sitting on the lot since Feb 2020.
Later ordered a custom build G05 45e at "only" 12% off in October 2020 before BMW stripped any option worth getting from the G05 "menu" Was impressed at the discounting at that time given the circumstances. I haved always been able to achieve 10-12% off MSRP on custom builds pre-covid. Hoping I don't "get the itch" for something else in the next 18-24 months, and hoping all these supply chain issues are resolved by then and discounting is back to "normal". Just sold the F55 to Carvana last week for $197 less than I paid for it 3.5 years ago. Since getting the G29 I haven't driven it much, so felt given the ridiculous pricing circumstances, why not I struggle to pay anything close to sticker, which seems to be a "good deal" in these times. |

Given all of that, I was satisfied with 6.8% off of MSRP on my custom order, especially since I was able to sell my 2014 F13 at a premium with zero fuss. |
