rock stuck in front brake.

I drove over a construction area and I believe a small rock is stuck in my brake pad.

Anyone experienc this and did you have to bring it to mechanic? Any other tips to get it out?

Some folks have complained that the design of the brake heat shields can trap rocks.

Short of pulling off a wheel, one thing you can try is reversing to see if the rock works itself free.

It's a very common issue with no permanent solution. You likely have a rock stuck between the rotor and shield (not the pad). As mentioned, try reversing to dislodge it, perhaps forward and backward two or three times. If that doesn't work, you'll probably need to remove the wheel to gain better access.
