exhaust valve

Is the Z4 M40i exhaust valve the same as my prior car (230ix)? In other words; can i put the car in "sport plus" then pull the fuse?
No I didn't look or try yet, I want to ask the popular opinion

Yes, same process.

It only adds slightly more noise, some don’t like the drone in comfort mode due to lower rpm cruising with the fuse pulled.

If you want to kinda see what it’s like (without pulling fuse), set Sport Individual setting transmission to (comfort).
This will open the valves when driving and the transmission will shift like regular comfort mode, see if the drone trade off is worth it.

Garage List
Wife has not complained, been running with the fuse out for a few years. Good plan is to put it back on occasion to prevent the valve from freezing open also prior to service work.

Put mine back this morning annual is on the 10th. Will pull it when I get home from service & also will install the yellow running light cards as soon as I can.

EDIT: Passed inspection & pulled the fuse out when I got home today. Poor weather today, have too hold off on the yellow running lights for a few days.

After fuse is pulled & engine shut down valve remains open. Will stay open till fuse is put back in.
