Springs

Are there any springs available to lower the car that don't require the adaptive suspension option? I found one from H&R but I need to have the adaptive option checked to use it. Let me know if you guys have seen/heard of any out there!

Car has 5" of ground clearance, why would you want to lower it?

I also wanted to change. I think if you have adaptive M suspension, you need to get the one for M40i H&R sport spring.
But from my previous experience, the suspension sock absorption component will die early than usual after using this type of spring. So I am still thinking!

I bought spacers for my car and I think after widening the look, lowering the car would make it perfect (in my opinion). I haven't installed them yet so maybe after I put the spacers on I'll change my mind

I'm waiting for eibach pro-kit springs to be available in US. H&R springs have been too stiff for me

Was just wondering what the advantage is or is it cosmetic? Reason I asked was the cars factory ground clearance vs speed bumps.

The Cobra is suspension designed to have variable ride heights & preserve wheel travel. Track day its set at 3-7/8" but it will scrape on most speed bumps. Street setting is F4" & R4-1/4" & its good to go even with two in the car.

Cool thanks, thought they had their options out already. Just trying to help OP.

Stating the obvious, hope we get through this terrible time ASAP and out on these lovely cars soon!!

The AC Schnitzer springs give the car a nice drop. Here's mine with the springs and spacers (F15mm/R18mm).

H&R springs in mine.
Absolutely love them!
It handles so much better and the ride is really nice and soft.
I was expecting them to be really stiff but they're great!
Highly recommended

Hi there.
I am running 12mm front and rear.
You could easily go more aggressive but I didn't want to damage the paint with stone chips

I am also looking at AC Schnitzer springs, not cheap at £700 fitted in uk but the premium is for quality and bmw warranty friendly parts.

ACS always make great springs, my only comment based on the picture above from OldM3 is the rear suspension looks a lot lower than the front. Personally I prefer the same arch gap front and rear, like H&R, although it's a little low for me.

Eibach may be the best choice at 20mm all round.

I'm holding out for the US release of eibach pro-kit springs. I've always found the H&R springs to be too firm.

Went with ACS springs. Very happy with them. Lowered the car approximately 13 mm. Handles much, much better and still quite comfortable. Spacers as well 12/15
