OTA Software Updates

Was playing with the phone app yesterday & tried the start & lock your car option for the first time ever.

Works great. Very nice being able to crank up the car on a 95*F day & cool it down or 25*F day & warm it up.

Just had my OTA software updated in Singapore. Didn't feel any significant difference though. After the software update, some of the coding I had were reverted to default. Active Sound Design when turned off seems to emit a low tick tick buzzing sound. Will monitor if the new software version 2019.11.70 is compatible with de-activation of ASD.

Btw, anyone of you has the function in the connected app to remote start stop the engine? Does it require a add-on option like the approach to open door function?

In the US remote engine start is a 300.00 stand alone option on the 4cyl cars. Works with the key fob and connected app.

I got 2019.11 installed at the dealer and Spotify didn't appear for me either. I had to do a factory reset on the iDrive before it appeared - you should give that a go. I have to say, though, that I've found Spotify in CarPlay to be much better than in iDrive - the iDrive version is a bit slow.

Does Amazon Music have an app on BMW Apps / or work on Carplay playback ?

I’ve actually not set up CarPlay at all yet

been to mesmerised by the iDrive system verses my old 2012 CIC iDrive system!

Its in Car Play. A "button" will show up on the car play menu screen, page two in my case.

Hi, I just did a factory reset but the Spotify app didn't appear. I had recently updated the software via ota. Wonder why...

Sound right for the US? I have not seen it update since I bought it.

Just downloaded 11/2019.70 on my Connected App and it loaded it to my car. How do I initiate the install?

Its whats in your car but its not the current 11-70 thats being installed OTA in the US. Mine updated a week or so ago.
