That's awesome. When my wife's dog of almost 19 years passed away, I gave her about 6 months to grieve and then picked up Axle. The two have been inseparable ever since!

Thanks. My daughter's birthday is tomorrow....actually it's today as she was a leap year baby born on February 29th, but we selected March 1st. But my wife has a special present for her.

I don't think I've ever mentioned on here, but my wife is an artist as a hobby. But her tastes are very eclectic. So a lot of her work I look at and wonder what it is..... really Picasso like.

But she took a different route and did a realism piece of my daughter's cat to give to her.

Thanks. Unfortunately this situation had been unfolding for awile, and my wife started it weeks ago.

She asked me out of the blue the other day if I wanted to see her new piece. I said yes....and went up as usual to her studio trying to figure out how I would compliment it as like I said....she does some very "different" things that I just don't get at times.

But I'm drawing with CAD pretty regularly, and her work is completely out of the box and unorthodox, and I'm an engineer so that should explain my problem!

But this was like only the second thing I've ever seen her do that was supposed to look like a photograph, and I was shocked.

Normally it's her perception of the image that I see....then feel like an idiot because I'm thinking that's not how the pic looks.

Understood! Most modern art leaves me scratching my head... but this is a beautiful painting which I know your daughter will cherish!

Say hi to Rutledge (fawn colored) and our new pup Montgomery (brindle). Rut is a 7yo Frenchie Boston mix, and Monty is a Frenchie that we brought home Feb 2nd. He's almost 4 months old and only 5 lbs.

We lost our sweet 16 year old Cavalier "Melvin" quickly last week, but he had a good long happy life.

It was inevitable that we would get a new dog, and since it's not like a spouse where people would talk, 4 days later we came home with 12 week old "Marty".

Don't let Marty's "Uncle Leo angry eyebrows" fool you, he's a happy guy and one of the reasons we picked him. We went from a Maserati to a Hundai with pedigree and markings, but this Hyundai is just as perfect for us.

Thank you! Chloe sure is one beautiful Cav, perfect markings and non bitchy eyebrows! I hope she follows Melvin's lead and is healthy and healthy for a long time.

I kind of like the bitchy eyebrows!!

And thank you, we are hoping she lives a long life as well. We lost our other (ruby) king charles a little over a year ago and he was 15.

Had to put down our 14yo King Charles Spaniel (toy english spaniel, not cavalier) today. He was a great friend for many happy years. Sad day......

So we have a pretty decent sized back yard, and have most of it sectioned off for our dogs. Just snapped this with my cell of our Norwegians surveying their property. Sorry for the crappy pic, but I had to get it fast. And sorry about the ugly chairs....it was my wife's idea!

I'm so sorry for the loss of your little guy. Do you think you'll get another one, once your heart is healed.?

Thanks, and more than likely. We have a 1yo Shih Tzu who is totally lost without his partner In crime.

Good move, I had a male that was neutered before the 12 month waiting period and he definitely developed a disc problem. Some people thought it was sympathy pains because I had two back surgeries but I'll go with your explanation.

The worst thing about our dogs & cats is that they don't last long enough!

It's about time for a haircut for someone. This is the look he gave me when I made that comment.
