I don't think display key is even available in the US at all? I have it on my X6 and it's a $300 option. Novelty yes, but required no. It cannot be used to move the vehicle like older versions supposedly could.

I was looking for extended range AND auto back up with it

But apparently not doable in the US of A

I had one with my g11, it’s a pain, needs charging, too big for your pocket.

Auto backup isn't even an option with the display key any more. My salesperson said the previous generation X5/X6 could do it, but not current.

That's too big.... not practical for guy who puts key in his pocket in my opinion.

I agree with you, the app on my iPhone more than meets my needs, in my opinion this is overkill.
