Porsche Price Increases on 718

Couldn't find a thread on this already, sorry if duplicated -

718 prices just jumped significantly - most trims +$5k

The Boxster S now starts at $82,400 - $5k more than a completely loaded Z4 M40i (and still slower, and with 2 less cylinders).

The GTS4.0 is $97,300 starting.

I hadn’t seen this. Just spec’d up a 718 Boxster GTS4.0 in comparative spec to my incoming Z4.

Z4 M40i all options. £51k after discount
718 GTS 4.0 matching options. £82k!!

I’ll take the unicorn, many thanks!

Shoot with Porsche the "price" is just a joke. I can't tell you how many times I've started the configurator saying "ok" and then I'm quickly like 20-30K in options and it's "fking hell, no way" close window.

Ha. This right here. While I appreciate the customization options, it's almost overwhelming. I'm always like "oh, that looks cool" and then I'm at the price of a Miata in options

That’s not the only aggravating thing about 911 configs. Besides removing the manual option on the base, they made other aggravating decisions such as not being able to have PASM and sport design front fascia without going up to the GTS, for example. The customization is cool if you have money to burn, but if you wanted a better or unique looking manual 911 you are now in the position of forking over $160k OR not having some of the options you really want for about $120k.

I just got a call from my Porsche dealer (sold my Cayman 981) they have a 718 GTS 4.0 coming in, as well as a Carrera T...both still with the ridiculous ADM of 10k on top of the MSRP....not going to happen...ever!

Are people bailing on their builds?? My dealer was mandating $10k of PPF dealer install. Ridiculous.
