I'm in the process of ordering a Frozen Silver M40i, just waiting for an allocation. I'm really getting tired of sedans!!!!!
Looking at different add-ons and thought since I have these on my M2, I should repeat the process…… Has anyone thought of getting rid of their front reflectors. I think they're a huge eye-sore. IND sells a painted set, but they don't have Frozen Grey. https://ind-distribution.com/collect...-reflector-set |

I reached out to Ryan @ IND and he said they can make them, I just need a VIN to get the right 'frozen grey'

Ryan and IND are SUPER to deal with. And don't worry about the paint quality, it will be super. Ordered two in Rosso Corsa two years ago for my M550 and they were perfect! Bought them for a previous 550 and my M4 before that. All three sets were flawless.
For several reasons I'm sticking with my OE lit ones for now. These are a little thinner and taller, plus the little LED light I don't mind and to my eye, the these appear a little lighter in color against the white background. They were hideous against a red background! One thing for sure, should I decide to go color matched again, it will be with IND! Last edited by Rotherd31; 11-17-2021 at 03:49 PM.. |

I dont get it. Do these reflectors still reflect after being painted?

The front fender reflectors are a US DOT spec. Notice euro cars have clean front fenders. My M4 and both M550's were just reflectors, with no light inside. My 2022 Z4 has a small LED light near the top of it that obviously comes on with the headlights. Not sure when the reflectors in the Z4 became lit, but mine are.
And no, the painted reflectors no longer reflect. |

Might be a solution here. I thought it would be cool to have those light up side strips but can’t get them in UK. So all I need to do is find someone in the states that fancies taking their panels off and sending them to me and if they fit OK I will send mine to them. OR not 😀

I always get my US-Spec German vehicles' front bumper reflectors painted body color. As you mentioned, the G29 ones are illuminated. Unfortunately I have not found the correct coding to disable these. Does anyone have the correct coding to shut these off?
