So they recently released the number of EV's in Canada. 5 years ago the government stated that by the end of 2018 there would be 500,000 EV's in Canada. The actual number is about 100,000.

They have started removing the charging stations from the Public Transit parking lots and many private companies are now removing them due to lack of use.

It's all crap now. The only cars that are as fun and engaging as they used to be are Porsches.

I'd point out that...
-he quit his job at motor trend
-he's nothing like clarkson in that he reviews cars. Clarkson makes an entertainment show that features cars
-he made the most viewed view of all time in youtube automotive
-I'm sorry you disagree with his opinion of the tesla....?

Yeah, that's pretty much the reason I'm on board for tesla. Modern cars just suck to drive. I don't want turbos, automatic transmissions, all wheel drive, or EPS. But, if I'm going to have a shitty driving experience (aka every modern car-- see above), at least the Tesla gives me benefits in exchange (not having to get gas, autopilot when I'm in traffic, quiet, etc). Whereas modern ICE cars are just worse driving versions of what I have, that can no longer be reasonably serviced.

When people "quit" they get nicer gigs or better jobs
What is camisa doing now ?
Clarkson "quit" TG and he is making bank with Amazon
Jezza is 100x the automotive journalist camisa can ever aspire to be
He doesn't only do entertainment , but he also writes for top gear magazine and their website with real world serious reviews

Motortrend said he quit. He said he quit. Here’s an article where his cohost at motortrend is sad about him leaving: https://www.carscoops.com/2017/06/ja...popular-motor/

Do you know more? Some inside line, perhaps?

He now writes for road and track, FYI: https://www.roadandtrack.com/author/2681/jason-cammisa/

The point I'm making is he is always entitled to his opinions
I'm pointing out his flawed arguments , and his ineptitude as a journalist
Of course they would say he quit , I've quit a few companies due to a mutual agreement , one being a downsize / restructuring
Let's call a spade a spade, the channel was in decline and they needed a change
He left/quit and went to work for another magazine after stating he wanted some time off
That sounds like he didn't have a gig lined up and finally landed at road &track

Not sure we need to choose either ICE or a EV. Why not both? For one, I like turbos, I like the DCT, and service doesn't matter if you ditch the car before warranty runs out. I want to drive as many cars as I can before I die, both new and old. I don't feel like limiting myself does me any favors. This is the golden age of fast cars right now, maybe I can yearn for a 5 speed, hydraulic steering and NA sounding goodness, but that can easily be solved by buying a used car. If I want the latest and greatest there are plenty of ICE cars that are probably the bester versions of their badges yet, and yes, I am referring to the M3 F80 vs the E90, E46 etc. Sure it's big, but it's also not much heavier than an E46, but has much more power, much more torque and it comes on much sooner and has improved braking and handling. What else can one ask for? Is it as fun to drive? That's subjective! I'll tell you what, I certainly have LOTS OF FUN driving it. Who's really losing out? The one who is having fun, or the one who isn't?

As far as daily drivability, I couldn't agree with you more. Autonomous driving, a quiet ride with plenty of low end torque which is ideal in today's city driving conditions. I'll say this over and over: As battery capacities increase, the need for public charging stations will decrease. People will merely charge at home because the range will be similar to an ICE car. In addition, charging times will decrease to around 5-10 minutes for 100+ miles of range. Charging stations will be more like gas stations and less like parking lots. Mark my words: we WILL see gas stations start to have express charging ports with a max charging time of 5-10 minutes in the near future.

Lol, decline is the opposite of what it did. You're just making things up?

From the co-creator of the motor trend shows:

Quote:
For the past two years both Ignition and Head 2 Head videos have risen to heights I didn't think were possible. This happened largely because @jasoncammisa showed up in July of 2015 and never stopped pushing, never asked what was possible, and never took no for an answer. The man is a force of nature.

It was decent when it first launched
I viewed a few episode
Then it just got really sad and trying too hard to be old TG
That's why people stopped viewing it
Now it's a subscription service on MT and no longer add supported through YT
Because guess what ???? Not enough viewers

I mean, he stated why: motortrend wouldn’t let him talk about the shitty driving dynamics of modern cars, lest manufacturers stop supplying them with cars.

If you go sort motortrend’s YouTube videos by popularity, guess who’s at the top? Jason Carissa.
