Yes, it is Misano Blue and IMHO BMW is making a mistake by not offering a brighter and more roadster appropriate color story.

Here’s a couple more of my SFR one in various lighting. It’s definitely a brighter red, with some hints of orange in it (as opposed to like a maroon color red).











Edit: I’d say that first picture is probably the best representation. Most of the others make it appear darker. I think it’s the lighting or the camera setting I had on my phone.

SF Red plays tricks with my eyes. Sometimes it looks cherry red, and sometimes it looks darker. But it’s a good red - prefer it to Toronto Red.

Most of the SFR cars I have seen in this forum have either black or cognac interiors. I have to say that you SFR/ Ivory color looks great and really rocks!

Very happy see the 🕹️ as an option. I never understood why a weekend type fun convertible wouldn’t have that option. I hope the next generation of drivers learn to appreciate the manual experience, which in turn will encourage more manufactures to continuing offering the glory of rowing your own gears and the dance with your feet.

My daughter just got her license and learned on a manual. 🙌

Thank you. I really like the color. Brightens up the interior a bit (especially with the top up), and I’ve gotten a bunch of compliments on it. Also, has been surprisingly easy to keep clean. That was my only concern with it.

The shop that did my PPF and ceramic used a product from Xpel to treat and protect my ivory interior. It has been 2 years and it still looks great!

IMHO the B58 engine and a 6MT transmission are a perfect fit on the M40i!

The poor souls in Europe with the detuned 4 cyl in manual. They also can’t break the speed limit freely like we can in certain countries like the UK. Can you imagine being in that wimpy engine on Ze AutoBAHN?! 194 hp.

It’s just a matter of time until someone expands their use to include calculating average vehicle speeds between cameras… 🙄

Many school zones here have speed cameras, but by law in some counties they can’t tag speeders when the lights aren’t flashing. So it really is just a matter of time. We still have plenty of rural areas to enjoy the car!

The Z is the last new manual. The M440i had a manual option in the US at least until 2020 IIRC. Sad they killed it. It’s probably one reason demand for the M3 is so high.
