Lol, the irony that you call the car looking Asian and comparing it to the Kia Stinger, which is designed by a German designer who designed Audi’s, and VW’s... If anything the Stinger looks EURO. So, what does it say about the Z4 since so many of the misinformed keep calling it looking Asian? 😂 hmmmm And no, look up, and do some more research of the co development of both cars, the Supra, and the Z4 Like I said, so many misinformed comments Z4 and Supra isn’t the same car, shared platforms and parts, yes, otherwise why have two different chief engineers for both cars. |

I wonder if the designer of the car seriously thinks that the production car resembles to the concept. Look at the nose of concept from the side dude, its longer and drops lower!
https://g29.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...&postcount=142 It's funny that he tries to rationalize moving the driver seat forward. As if he was designing the fwd fiat barchetta in the 90s. |

Haha, the Bimmerpost community is almost like a parody on itself sometimes. I don't think a new BMW design will ever be approved by this community, you people are just so incredibly backwards thinking and conservative.
If you look at the history of BMW Z models, every single model has looked like nothing else before it. The new Z4 is no exception. And if you look at the design with an open mind, it really is a great looking car. And even more important, it will probably handle like a roadster should. |

To me looks frankly ... horrible. There is no european style on it, just edges over edges. The previous has beautiful lines, both in and out. This one look like want to enter Transformers movie. Design point of view this is really bad. The dash, the exterior... not good at all. |

Why on earth would anyone buy this instead of an F-Type or Boxster? To make things worse, its own predecessors look way better. E85>E89>>>>>>>this. Maybe it performs better but can't outrun its ugliness.
It looks like BMW's ugly step child next to the gorgeous 8 series. |

I'd be surprised if the suspension and brakes aren't a shared part of another BMW already. Seems like Toyota got to tag along on this one, can't imagine what they actually contributed to. |

Lost a bit with that front end. A little awkward looking. The rear and side look nice. Interior has a nice design but too much of that fake matte silver stuff.

As a former E89 owner and a huge admirer of the E85, I doubt I'd ever buy this. At least the E89 looked good and had a hardtop to differenciate it from its rivals. This neither looks or sounds anywhere near as nice as an F-Type, and surely won't beat the Boxster when it comes to performance. It'll also lose the hardtop convertible crowd to Benz & people that want a fixed roof coupe will opt for the Supra. To make things even worse the M40i doesn't come with a manual for purists unlike both the Porsche and Jag. If ever there was a car that's DOA, it's this. |

The exterior is uninspiring. The side view mirrors like like they were lifted straight off the F30. No traditional Angel Eye layout. I saw a white E89 on the highway this morning on my way to work and it looked fantastic even with the hard top up. The only two things that this G29 have over past Z4's is the increased power and the interior. The interior is spot on and looks fantastic. I owned a Z3M Roadster once, great experience. This G29 I would never buy. I just hope the upcoming G20 3-Series won't disappoint me.
