I had the same issue during my build. You would think BMW could figure it out, but they did put that huge grill on some of their smaller cars.

Domagoj Dukec has been the biggest disaster for BMW design.

Yes, but that doesn't mean making jaw dropping ugly cars.

I'll never forget the state of shock I was in when g80/82 front grille design was leaked.

I got the Z to tide me over until I can get the 718 or 911. Would have gotten it but I'm not paying 10-15k markup or waiting in perpetuity.

BMW is going in the direction I don't care for.

No argument from me. I was going to upgrade my 435i to an M4, but I should have done it sooner. Don't have any plans of getting any BMW with the stupid new grille.

I thought I'd be getting new M3 every 3 years but BMW lost their mind and made the g80/82 monstrosity. New 440i is even uglier.

I'm kicking myself for trading in my f80 comp, YAS/silverstone, 6 speed, carbon bits.

Really looking forward to my first vert.

Hey Guys,
I talked to the Genius today and she said once a car has completed production, it has been taking at least 4 weeks to get a car shipped and sometimes longer, but they are working to improve the timeline. She also said my build is 100% complete and ready to be delivered, no missing chips or anything, 100%.
The car just needs to cross the ocean. That should be a mid-May delivery, which was the original forecast. That would be great if everything falls into place after the two week production pause, we will see.
I am guessing that the Z4 cars in production now will be on a similar timeline at least for the near term? Perhaps they can keep production on a roll without interruption for an extended period? Anybody's guess in todays environment.

Guess I am explaining it wrong.
According to the genius, car is 100% done with production. No chips needed at the port, The average wait to get on a boat is 4 weeks, then Cross the ocean to the VPC, no chips needed at the VPC, load to a truck and deliver. That should be a Delivery sometime in May, I dont have anything firm of course. All is based on the 4week estimate from the Genius.

I guess the best way to say it is - Made it out of production with no Stop Sale attached, but still stuck at the port for at least 4 weeks.

I will always be rookie at this, cause I doubt I will ever get to do it again
