Not normal unless excessive water pressure is applied to seals. I am using exclusively automatic car washes with cloth (no bristles) for a year now without any issues.

That isn't normal. I took my Z4 through just one touchless wash and it did not leak at all.

Has anyone else experienced an issue with the scrolling wheel on the right steering controls being slow to or not responding at all? I find it randomly doesn’t want to scroll (up more than down is an issue but seemingly both)
Wonder if it’s a dodgy connection or perhaps if others experienced it too; a software bug that an update might’ve fixed?

Yes. In my car it went away after an iOS update. I had only experienced it in ACP.

Thanks for the reply.
Mine was first noticed when scrolling to skip a song on Bluetooth Amazon music so not ACP and also seems to stutter when scrolling DAB stations too so not sure it’s linked to iOS at all. Maybe I’ll give the controls a quick clean and see how it goes.

Another update on this. The problem came back so they replaced all the seals. It sounded fine until it rained at which point the squeak came back with a vengeance.

I just put it in again and was told a special PUMA notice went out three days ago regarding this issue. It says to apply Aquapel to the rubber seals to resolve the issue. I thought my service adviser had it wrong because Aquapel is obviously a glass coating, but he showed me the notice and sure enough it said to apply it to the rubber seals! Got the car back today and on looking closely I could see there was some white residue on all the window seals. We'll see whether this resolves the issue.

Yeah, I've found that the scroll wheel is not particularly responsive. It's quite tricky to make precise selections with it - e.g. to scroll down just one track.

Yes. I had the same issue of the thumb wheel unresponsive and need to scroll a few times to get the pages moving.

A couple days ago the map on the instrument cluster completely blacked out. Everything else shows up just fine. However, when I put in instructions on idrive it shows the directions of when to turn and at what street where the map should be (the flash card layout if that makes sense) I'll post some pictures if you guys are confused.

Any ideas how to reset the idrive system? Screen is blank. No stereo. No navigation in the between the speedo and the rev counter. I've tried holding the on/off button for 30 seconds and that didn't work.

The engine needs to be running to carry out the 30 second button hold reset.
