They offer a darkish red too. Would look great on a black car.

My 1994 325i Samoa Blue convertible had a navy top. Out of curiosity, does anyone know what year BMW stopped offering that color option for the top? |

Thanks. I think I will switch to the Moonlight top.
Another question: I have read in this forum that the end of production for the 2024 Z4 is March 1. April is devoted to re-tooling for the next model. The 2025 model, including the manual transmission version, commencing production April 1. Is this right? I worry that even if I get my allocation in early February, my production date will fall in April. This delay means I will probably be receiving my new Z4 just in time for the brutal summer heat here in Arizona. |

Anecdotally, several of the things OP wants (and I wanted) are hard to find in dealer stock models (18" wheels, ACC, Cognac interior).

I think the 18’s will be the hardest part. Since they lowered the price by more than half for the ACC starting for the 2023 model year, I’ve seen it on a lot more cars.

Too bad you weren’t in the market for Misano Blue with ivory interior. Mine has every option all you would need to do is swap the wheels out for 18’s i have to say with the michelin all season a the ride is better than with the summer tires it came with.

I know it’s not a popular option, but I’d have no problem going to an AS tire for improved ride, better wet performance as a trade off in absolute maximum grip. My Z4 will not see the track, other then some spirited drives doubt I would push the car hard enough to really justify these max dry performance tires.

Upgraded audio is .... subjective lol. I like the bass punch of the base system more so than the $875 "upgrade." I listen to music with alot of bass, so ... was disappointed.

How’s the car in the snow with all-seasons? I was concerned with this being my first RWD car, so I bought a set of winter wheels/tires and am doing the swap. May consider all-seasons when the Michelins wear out.

They do ok I only got caught in the snow once without my winter wheels and tires. For me it is because of the seasons in vermont it can be cold for a long time before actual winter and saves tearing up the winter tires on warm days.

I don’t drive to work or anything, so can usually avoid the snow. Maybe the all seasons would be a good option for me. |

I just got an email from my CA that my Z4 is at status '150 - Production Started'. So it looks like I will get my car before any possible shut down in March. I hadn't asked for the Moonlight top yet, so I'll 'make do' with the black top, which is fine. Mr. Toad's wild ride begins!
Thanks again everyone for your kind remarks. |

My chariot has arrived!
My Z4 M40i arrived on Monday, April 8th. I ordered it January 19. Plenty of time to drive before it gets too dam hot here in Arizona. Observations so far:
It's fun to drive! My last sporting vehicle was a BMW R1200RT, my 8th and last motorcycle. I don't get the visceral thrill of riding a fast bike, but the fun is still there. Cornering and curves are great, limited mainly by the person sitting next to me screaming. After break in we'll see about acceleration. It's also good to drive with my espousal unit, as she wouldn't ride with me on the back of my bike for some reason. It is also nice to be able to put up the top and turn on the AC after it gets hot upon returning from a cool morning sojourn. I thought the "enhanced sound" of the engine would bother me, but it's fine. No need to code the speakers silent. It's also a very pretty car. I've never had one that I wanted to keep clean so much. The picture was taken taken at the historic Gillespie Dam Bridge, on Old Highway 80, north of Gila Bend, Arizona. You can see I have some bugs to clean off.
