Any of you guys into crypto? the ADA (Cardano) crypto has been steadily rising for the past couple weeks and isn't showing signs of slowing down, I wish I had put more into it initially cause it's doubled since then.

edit: I really wish I had invested back into doge instead of selling at .051 could have doubled my money by now.

Buy companies you believe in and hold for years until you can buy real estate. Buying Tesla in 2015 when I thought it was cool with good leadership, and Shopify years ago because I thought it was the future in online stores (which it was) and a few others have paid me way more than what google/YouTube says are the top stocks right now. I believe in buying into major corporations that we likely will be using for a long time and then I'll sell when I can buy properties that can actually pay me income lol. Expensive here in NYC, if I was in the Midwest I would've been able to have rentals at 19-20 years old. But at the same time the appreciation of real estate here is actually amazing, it'll make you rich if you buy in the right neighborhoods and hold.

sometimes its fun to gamble a bit. most my stocks are ETF or large corporations.

but i bought some GME after hours just now. lets see what happens tomorrow

It took a lot of discipline not to sell GME. Been busy and happened to look at price today and was like “wtf?!” It’s like 3x after hours.

Yup...and still holding. This spike is supposed to go even higher than the last one. First batch triggers at $500, second batch at $1,000, third batch at $2,000. Doubt it'll go higher than that, but if it does I'll still have some in reserve.

I've stated even before the squeeze that I like the long term bull case so I'm planning on selling + buying back in with the profits after the squeeze anyway.

Might as well have another batch trigger at sqrt(-1). Roughly same (imaginary) chance of triggering.

About $600 worth when I sold it, I think I made maybe a hundred bucks

This was in 2015/2016 time. Sold it cuz I thought crypto was some gimmick.

Now that would be worth $100k, and it only seems to be going up.

Basically would be like handing me the keys to an G80 competition for free and saying here's another 10k+ to mod it out. On the house.

Fuck.

Def would've bought real estate with that money though lol

Edit: last I saw it was almost 2k, not it's like 1.5k. So 75k atm

There will always be FOMO with everything. everyone wishes they would have bought a supra tt or old school 911 for 20k back in the day and have it be worth 6 figures now. Had i kept my tesla stock instead of selling for a 3k profit back in 2014 i'd be 60k richer.

I bought $400 worth of "tiles" in Earth2...supposedly now worth 3k a month later. Will it go somewhere, who knows but I'll throw play money at it because I like the long term idea.

Made almost 10% on VXX today, sold it and placed that cash afterhours in HD, Roku, Nvda, Arkk (kinda of double playing in a way) and also bought some SQ. Just trying to swing those overnight for a few % gain. Nvda is at a very nice buy in and far from analysts projections. Same with Roku.

If only investing wasn't out of spite. If these GME traders bought AAPL at 120, they'd be investing in a strong, worthwhile company which could in turn actually do some good with that money (buy TSLA...rebrand AAPL car...now that's real wishful thinking). AAPL at $120 > GME at $300. I'm long AAPL, got short squeezed to the tune of 100K in 2 days with GME. It's not just institutional investors who got FKed by the Reddit games.
