Anyone else have this happen....
Plug in, at home, charging as normal.
Go to bed. Get woke up 40 minutes later...charging was interrupted.
I was getting ready to go out to the car and unplug-replug and lo and behold, it starts charging again.
RInse and repeat all night long....
Anyone else have this happen?

That happened to me on my i4 the 2nd day I owned it.

The dealer ordered something and told me I could keep driving it. It's worth noting it would charge fine on high speed DC chargers, but I got the dreaded interrupted message after seconds/minutes/hours pretty randomly when charging L2 home - at any charge rate - even 120V L1 charging.

A few days later, the 12V battery was completely dead, so the car was effectively dead. They towed it to the dealer.

It ended up being the CCU (combined charge unit) - took weeks to get the parts & tools needed to replace it.

After that the car was fine, but I didn't trust it so I sold it & bought the iX.

EDIT: It's worth noting mine never restarted - I had to unplug/replug. So maybe you have a different issue - charging schedules? ground problem?

Having the issue as we speak. Car at dealer and they’re looking into it. All I know is after getting the plug and charge update in early March, I haven’t been able to charge at home since. There’s another thread I started you may want to review. https://bmwi.bimmerpost.com/forums/s....php?t=2091204

Yours at least takes a charge, mine just errors out and doesn’t take anything further. Had to use the level 1 at home which isn’t practical.

sorry to see this happening for you. Fortunately I'm not getting this on my i7 or iX ATM. We have Plug & Charge active on the i7 and iX is "too old" and has iDrive 8.0 only with MGU21 headunit

Update: seems this was just a “burp”.
Been charging normally for the past week.
