What's the coolest car tech you've seen?

What innovation from a manufacturer made you just say "wow, that's ingenious!" Or it's just super innovative, never been done before or this application is perfect for it.

To me, the new Ford GT takes all my wows...

-The exhaust in the middle looks like jet fighter after burners and can basically be called that.
-The taillights and the hole in the middle is actually an outlet for hot air from the intercoolers and wastegates.
-The rear spoiler is functional, going up and down for more downforce and assist with braking.
-The wings going from the wheel fenders to the roof are actually the air intakes for the engine and also function to divert more air to the rear spoiler.

What have you seen that made you go "wow"?

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

I forget to answer your post. I love the fact that production cars are getting electric motors on the front axles and rear that help gas engines and get of line and fill In low spots in power curve like the 918, P1, I8 ect.
Hopefully the next gen M4 will have a setup with a V8 and electric assist on front and back.

Not saying the new GT is not "wow".

I always thought the floating console in late model Volvos was pretty neat. You always see things like that in concept cars but to see them release it broadly was pretty cool.

He's talking about how the MP4 12C has all of those things and preceded the new GT.

So far I have not seen anyone post about TECH. Its all been design and styling. Here is some TECH that bmw has done really well. Also the new S-class is packed with tech. But I hear the new 7er will surpass the boys from Stuttgart.

I've always found the corkscrew doors on the Koenigsegg very cool and unique.

Yea those are pretty interesting, they couldn't just do a lambo door cause it's already been done. Koenigsegg doors are the coolest opening doors. That is til someone makes a minivan sliding type door for a 2 door car, that would be interesting!

The rear wing on the Pagani Huayra looks to be aviation-grade as it works to slow down that beast. Amazing!
