How did you get access to that? It looks like there are more secrets to be unlocked for me (probably after I send them a check?!). As far as being in the Paint Shop, maybe better not to know. Probably just a scratch or two being massaged out. They can work miracles on paint there. I saw a Youtube video where the VPC was repairing a Mini that had been squashed by the motor carrier when the driver lowered the upper level without removing the Mini on the bottom level first. Doh! They were cutting the top off and were welding new parts for a makeover. I believe with that kind of damage they're required to notify the dealer / customer. Hopefully the customer could walk away from it. Last edited by Geradeaus; 02-18-2021 at 12:50 PM.. |

And sailing, and sailing and sailing...
So the beautiful RORO Vessel Niagara Highway is still crossing the Atlantic. A long voyage made longer as it dodges many gales and lows. I guess it's like a pilot dodging thunderheads.
The updated schedule for arrival in Charleston is now March 7th. The ETA has slipped almost a week (6 days). That still gives the Performance Center 17 days to get the car ready for delivery. Hopefully, once the ship is this side of the Atlantic it can stay out of the big weather and follow its' schedule. I've already set up reservations for the rental car and follow-on hotel stays for my break-in drive. Hope I don't have to rebook. Fingers crossed. |

Safe Across the Atlantic
Spotted the Niagara Highway on the harbor entrance web cam arriving from a long trans-Atlantic voyage. Six days late but hopefully the weather on this side of the Atlantic will be more manageable and the schedule won't slip anymore. Delivery at the Performance Center in less than four weeks now!

Next Stop Brunswick
So I know everyone (anyone?) has been waiting with baited breath for this picture. I caught the Niagara Highway off the coast of Virginia Beach (my old beach vacation haunt) after leaving Baltimore this morning. No decent port cams in Baltimore so no picture there. It was very interesting to "see" the pilot boats make contact with the N.H at the mouth of the Delaware river and the Chesapeake Bay following along on MarineTraffic.com.
On to Brunswick, Georgia for the penultimate stop. Word to the wise - don't ever commit a crime. I guarantee there's a camera watching you (well maybe not in Baltimore ). |

The Boheme just left Brunswick this evening bound for the Panama Canal (second picture). It was docked at the BMW VDC and I was interested to see if it was going to leave and make room for the N.H. Looks like I'll miss the arrival (I'm not staying up to midnight) but I'll review the webcams tomorrow and see if I can see her. |

Brunswick
Florida - your cars have arrived! The Niagara Highway pulled into the St. Simons Sound at the mouth of the East River after midnight to dock at the VDC at Brunswick Port. It won't be long now until you Floridians get your cars. Just in time to enjoy the departure of winter and our short spring.
My car still has a little trip back north for a Sunday arrival at Charleston. Less than three weeks now until my PCD! |

Arrival!
After a 25 day ocean and multiple port voyage, the Niagara Highway is in Charleston unloading my new Z4. On to Spartanburg...
You can see the actual car - it's in row 11 column 7 in the middle group! |
