Toyota IS Tintop/Nice Web Page

I know none of this is strictly necessary but i found it to be refreshingly different to BMW's rather dull site.

Just look at what Lexus created for their IS Convertible Web page:

They did not do a very good job hiding the fact that it's a convertible when the top is up. The rear is huge compared to a regular IS

Have you ever actually seen an E93 next to an E92? The trunk lids are pretty much identical save for the lines and the fact that the E93 has a slight integrated spoiler

No way. I can spot the roofline difference from a hundred yards away. Spend enough time on this board and observing every e9x you see, and soon, you will too.

I hated it at first but this car looks marginally better in real life than in photos. The one thing that is ridiculous is that they seem to have modeled the passenger compartment on a bath tub, the shape is crap.

heres what i hate about the IS
theyre making a SEDAN into a VERT. its gonna be way more dramatic than a coupe into a vert. the e93 is flatter but it does have a slight slope to it like the coupe (talking about the trunk itself). they didnt bother trying to make it flow like the IS

i didnt like the e93 roofline at first but now i think its badass how it cuts off at the trunk like that
and yea i agree the e93 looks longer but the IS looks a lot bigger than its sedan version. it has a huge rear to begin with and now it looks even bigger

if you really think about it, BMW did nothing different in the e93. they made a coupe into a vert. exactly that

if lexus made the IS into a coupe and then a vert. the differences wouldnt be so intense to our eyes. picture that vert as a coupe...now picture yourself cutting it up to make it a vert...they still tried to make it like a coupe by sloping the trunk

alright i guess its a personal preference, I was just to state that there is a difference in the E92 compare to the E93 roof line and trunk, which Draman said they are the same...
