Black would definitely help. Been thinking of changing to these on my X5. For the Z4 I still prefer it with nothing on back. Looks cleaner and allows people to wonder what the car is.

I agree that I might not have debadged if they were black (probably would have still dun it).

I changed my number plate so they know it’s an M40

You can still order the gloss black badges, they would look beautiful on your car!

If it snags the microfiber, it's gotta go! 6cyl, 4cyl, optioned out, or base entry level----if it snags, it goes. It snagged. Those that know, know, those that don't know, probably don't care.

I had my M40i debadged a couple of days ago. Didn't try the microfiber but that makes sense. I just thought the rear end was a little busy with the badging in such a tight space.

What's wrong with looking at a tight rear end?

Like that, good plan. My only vanity plate in my car history, going back to 1960, is on the Cobra replica.

Its in NC 1965 colors, yellow letters over black background, with the word "COYOTE". Anyone with a FORD or Shelby knowledge base knows what that is.

Coming from the UK to the US, being able to have custom plates, to me, is a dirt cheap novelty that hasn’t worn off.

Yellow over black…now that’s nice. Being able to claim ‘coyote’, too; priceless!

It does get noticed.

I’ve never understood this. To me it’s look like it was wrecked and repaired by a lousy body shop.

I think it would look good with just the M badge on the back like the E85. Just haven’t convinced myself to do it yet
