For me the hotspot isn’t that big a deal since my phone is a hotspot, but the wireless charging pad is really nice to have. Especially if you use Waze with Apple CarPlay that can run the battery down on your phone.

DenverBMW that was informative. Thanks. I wish those M seat belts were available in the US. BMW USA does the options/packages quite differently.

For what its worth, i have noticed that the wireless charging pad makes my phone really REALLY hot. Other such tech doesn't do that ... and it charges pretty slow.

Yeah, the output on it is like a base charging pad. It works well over long trips. If your worried about the heat, invest in a fan to blow on it.

Charging pad that we use at home, the phone barely gets warm. I think that alot of it has to do with the fact that the charging pad is in a tight little cubby. I mean it does require a little bit of work to get the phone in and out of there. Which is a good thing I guess. Less inclined to fiddle with it while driving.
