I use MarineTraffic.com. They have apps for IOS and Android or you can do it via a browser. Just put in your vessel name and add it to your fleet and then you can just select “My Fleet” in the pull down at the top right and you can see where your vessel is. Basic tracking is free, but you can pay extra for additional information.

I have the guy coming Friday to look at my 650i. You think I should hold him off on transfer of title until I get confirmation that the car was successfully offloaded in Charleston, or is that being overly paranoid?

If you have a ride as a secondary, than you are being overly paranoid. I say grab an extra 2.5-3k if you can. it'll beat down the principle on the Z4 at the end of the day. Good luck.

Victoria Highway and the tracking site you sent me is awesome. Got lost in the sheer number of ships out there at any given time.

I know, it’s mind blowing the number of vessels moving around out there. That’s why making your ship a favorite and selecting “My Fleet” is such a great feature. It looks like for me the ship actually goes past the port at Charleston to go down to Brunswick by Tybee Island first and then the final stop is at Charleston on the way back. Fortunately it doesn’t matter because my biggest delay is waiting on the PDC date. Patience, patience.....

On the shipment side, the vessel will be docking in Southhampten UK in a couple of hours. It's right on schedule.

He had to reschedule to bring “the boss” with him. They are supposed to be here at 11am this morning. I’m planning to give it a quick wash this morning. We’ll see what happens.

Mine docked at the second to last port last night. Just a few more days to Charleston!

Ordered a 30i in April. It was completed on May 10. It's still in Bremerhaven waiting on a ship. Two ships have left Bremerhaven headed to Brunswick since my car was delivered to the port. Didn't make it on either.

Then there was a holiday in Germany and the port was closed for 4 days. But for some really odd reason, trips have been cancelled and schedules changed so that we are now in a two week period without a single ship leaving from there for the east coast. Normally, there are ships every day or two.

What's even odder is that the next ship, K-Line's Niagara Highway, has been sitting at anchor outside Bremerhaven for two days despite there not being a single RoRo in the port at the moment. The schedule for this ship just slipped 3 days. I can't for the life of me understand why this 3 day delay when there must be thousands of cars lined up, ready to ship to the east coast, and no backup in the port.

WW also changed its schedule, again, for more delays so that now there are ships scheduled for 6/1, 6/4, another one on 6/4, 6/5, 6/6, 6/7, etc. The last ship to leave there for the east coast was May 22.

Sorry, just had to vent. I am completely baffled about this endless delay...

Welcome. Sorry for your frustration. It could be the vessel in question had unscheduled maintenance and it is taking longer to correct it. If the vessel is already loaded; then they will not be removing the cargo unless a dry dock is needed. You might want to discuss this with your client advisor. The dealership has a vested interest as their cash flow is negative on the car at this moment and they want to get paid.

And..... SOLD!!! This was the easiest sale ever. My wife and I were at the local home show a week ago Friday and a guy at the insurance booth offered us a competitive quote. We normally don’t bother with this but thought, why not. He started asking about our cars and I said I have a new Z4 coming, but currently have a 2014 650i convertible I’ll be selling. He asked if I had any photos and of course I did. After a short discussion he asked what I was looking for and he said “I’m going to buy your car”. He and his wife came over this morning and took it for a test drive and frankly, the car sells itself. I’m going to miss that car. If only I had a 3 car garage...

I too wish I had a 3-car garage. That way I could have my classic car, bike and Z4 in it. But, it is what it is. At least you took care of one headache the easy way and it is off to a good home.
