I got the frozen grey and it spent 6 days in paint. Maybe a metallic color is only 3-4. Keep us posted.

I thought the frozen gray was the matte finish (which i really like btw... wish that 3.0i could get that color) and with THAT being said.. i thought that it was more of a wrap.

Nope, not a wrap. It is a matte style paint. Now I get to learn the intricacies of care an maintenance for it.

Oh wow.. well I guess that's why it's a 3600 dollar option. Looks real nice though. San Antonio has such hard water .. I went with white mostly because of the impact of the water here and the Saharan Desert dust fallout we get dumped on the city every year and Cedar pollen.

I've seen BMW offer Metallics at that price too. For the extra price, they should allow you to choose whatever color they offer. I would have picked Mineral Grey again for this Z4.

I've read elsewhere that BMWFS allows stores to add up to 1% to the buy rate. If now so, that might account.
Yes, I was going to say this. If you credit score is 750+ and D:I is low enough, there should be no reason you don't qualify for the 0.9% advertised rate. In my experience, the dealer controls the rate, so once the car arrives, ensure the rate on the paperwork is 0.9%, or tell them to go scratch. They should be honoring the advertised rate.

Hoping that's the case. I was like.. i just want something official stating that I've been approved at this point so.. I did get that. Hopefully the 0.9% will still be around by the time that the car gets delivered. Lookin at mid to late July.. we'll see.

Took me months just to get an allocation and then another 3 months once production began to delivery in Feb. 2021.

Become a member NOW of BMW CCA to get a $500 rebate. My application was approved in a few days by CCA. Am waiting on a check from NA now.

Wow! I probably would not have been able to wait that long!
Thanks for the tip on the CCA

In another question anyone able to track their build status from the myBMW app? There’s no where for me to be able to do it so I was curious. Thanks!

Just ordered a set of these from Amazon. Little cheaper than the. mW store. $88 rather than $99. Free shipping.

I would have liked either regular or frozen bluestone metallic as an option. Maybe my next car.

Noticed in your garage that you gave your Audi TT to your son. Was it totaled before or after?

I assume he is safe and well.

Thankfully yes, no injuries.

He totaled it when he jumped a curb at a fairly low speed and hit a small tree and the airbags deployed. I toyed with buying from the insurance company and fixing it, but didn’t have the time to deal with it back then. I loved the TT and considered a TTRS, but after having a convertible I don’t think I can go back to a coupe. There is something about driving with the top down on a spring day you just can’t replace.

Glad to hear no injuries. Reminds me of my 350Z back in the day... no idea how I lost control on a left turn, fishtailed and hit a wall. Wasn’t going that fast and took the run as I always had. Soooooo pissed..... didn’t total... but it was still $18000 worth of damage.

I agree about having the drop-top. I’d always been longing to have one.... had an Eclipse convertible and loved that freedom. Literally been dreaming about having this roadster and it’s so close to reality.

It’s almost here.... You reminded me, before the TT I had a 1990 300ZX 2+2 and a 1985 300ZX 2+2 before that. The 1990 went to my daughter and we finally traded it for an accord. I remember nursing it to the dealership for the trade and after we parked it, it not going into reverse again. Fortunately they didn’t care.

Oh my goodness! Not going into reverse? Sheesh!! I loved my 350Z it was a lot of fun and when I got it, it was still an incredibly unique car at the time, so it turned a lot of heads. Managed to get a lot of attention. Part of the reason why I chose Z4 over anything else. Rarely see em... kinda wanna be unique in that way.
