It’s ok, I was joking. My son lives in the UK and yup, cars are more expensive than the USA but way cheaper than Singapore and Thailand.

Don’t forget that the 2022’s offered Misano Blue which was dropped in 2023 for Portimao Blue. Most likely the automatic version might get a small color change in next year’s model.

Lets think about this. The M240i has "superior" components but only does 0.94g on the skidpad, while the z4 has inferior components and does 1.0g on the skidpad, and the G80/82 do 1.3 on the skidpad with full blown M components.

This means that with M components the z4 would probably hit 1.5 or 1.6 on the skidpad, and with the M240i components it will definitely reach 1.2-1.3g. That's an amazing number for BMW. It just shows how perfectly balanced and proportioned the Z4 is to hit 1.0g with relatively mild suspension components
Who’s doing those calculations for you? A GT3 is a 1.2 g car. No way a Z4 is hitting 1.6 g.

Even with the new upgrades the manual most likely won't go above the standard 1.0.

I was just dreaming and hoping 1.6 could be possible in a z4
Maybe if you slam on the brakes!

I'm sorry I meant to say 1.02 NOT 1.2

1.06 is too high for a z4 your right.

GT3 2023 tested 1.16

I meant to say 1.02 and 1.06 but messed up lol

I think it's possible the manual will be a 1.01-1.03 in the skidpad.

Hey I confused 1.2 with 1.02.

I meant to say 1.02 from the start but put 1.2. Had a brain fart. It happens.

Definitely the new suspension upgrades will make the manual 1.01-1.02 on the skids, which, while is not a 1.16 like a GT3, is still pretty good. Now it's not as high as many Japanese cars or porsches but it's still very good. The problem with a roadster is body roll, which I do feel quite a bit in spirited drives, that always weakens the skidpad tests. Supra is 1.02 simply because it's a coupe. I wonder how much those new anti roll bars will help with grip and roll

I bought aftermarket ACS springs and the body roll was minimized. Thanks for clarifying!

If they are re-tooling paints (if ‘retooling’ is the right word for a change in paint) why not change one of the other colors, too? Don’t know how that decision is made.

Has anybody been surveyed to find out which are the favorable colors? For example, why did they swap the Misano for the Portimao.

To further improve handling, newly tuned dampers on the front and rear axles and modified additional springs at the front and rear are also installed. In keeping with the more puristic demands, the steering, traction control and the adaptive chassis receive newly tuned software.

2022 to 2023 was an LCI year though.

I am prejudiced because I have a Misano Blue M40i but I think the team that selects the colors is convinced that the Z4 is aimed at an older demographic and thus we have such a boring color lineup.

Don't they know that the difference between men and boys is the price of their toys and a roadster is supposed to be fun and exciting?

It’s all about the PRESTIGE! lol

The Mazda Miata crowd has been hoping for more exciting colors forever. For whatever reason Mazda and BMW play it safe.

I wish that BMW NA would hold some focus groups as they are really missing the mark on the colors!
