No. Being able to afford a $129k Nissan and a $250k Ferrari are two VERY different things.

Did people actually read the article? It's 129k cause of dealer markup, not because that's the price Nissan demands. Now, go blame dealers for cashing in on its exclusivity instead of whining about it at Nissan.

First, I believe that the GT-R could be the best car ever built for the MSRP Nissan suggests. I might even be tempted to give $20k over sticker given the chance. However, anyone who gives over $100k for the car is a complete idiot as far as I'm concerned.
There are (7) 2007 911 Turbo 997's on EBAY right now with less than 10k miles from $110k to $119k.
I would much rather have it, and then spend $1,500 on the FLASH that is available.
My friend has a 2002 911 Turbo with the FLASH and he owns the DYNOJET shop in town. His car with the FLASH produced 480 RWHP with the front drive-shaft removed....

For that price, I'd be looking at VERY different cars. M6, 997 GT3, 996 GT2, 360 Stradale... The GTR wouldn't even be on the radar. IMO, people are crazy to pay 80K for it, when they could get a Z06, and do some substantial modding for that kind of money.

Or they could pay $70k for the GT-R, which the MSRP roughly comes to, and do some substantial modding for that kind of money.

Point is, no1 has paid $129K for the GT-R.

Therefore the M6, 997 GT3 and all the other cars are irrelevant choices.

Oh, I agree. I don't think anyone will either, my point was simply that's an obscene amount of money to pay for a car that's a few tics behind a $70k Z06.
